Yes. The app disguises its UI — it doesn't intercept company data, bypass security tools, or access anything it shouldn't. It's functionally a text editor that sends your typed text to an AI API. Check your company's AI policy regarding external API calls if you're unsure.
No. The Notepad UI (a white background with a text box) is not copyright-protected. Apps like Notepad++, Notepad2, and dozens of others replicate this interface freely. We don't use Microsoft's name, logo, or branding anywhere in the app.
No. StealthPad is a portable .exe file. Just download it, run it — no admin rights, no Windows registry changes, no trace in your Programs list. You can run it from a USB drive.
We use GPT-4 via our secure proxy server. Your device never stores your API key — all API calls are routed through our backend. This also means you don't need your own OpenAI account.
